Ever since Matt and I moved here and left our families in cool climates we've become regulars at weather.com. Because it's so warm here in the winter (and so ridiculous in the Summer) we like to check the weather in UT, WA, and GA to see what kind of weather the rest of our family is enjoying (or suffering through). Im writing this email now as we've been in UT the past 10 days and have just come back to lovely weather and had to check to see if it was really as warm as it felt. On weather.com there is always an actual and a feels like temp. A few minutes ago I checked and ours was "68, feels like 68" and in Orem it said "22, feels like 14". It was only slightly warmer in Spokane (where my parents and 2 brothers live) "30, feels like 25". For all the times you all have asked "how do you people live like that?"or commented about our Phoenix weather and how you "could never do it" let's remember today. This is how we live like this! And it's not unusually warm, it's supposed to be 72 tomorrow! So my kids will be riding their new bikes in t-shirts! And if anyone wants to come visit, March and April are the best time!!! By the way, we do still love the snow, we've just gotten wimpier the longer we've lived in Phoenix.

That sounds SO nice. I like the cold/snow up until New Years. January 2nd on I get super antsy for Spring. 72 is perfect.
Well I'm convinced and ready to move to Arizona. I hate when I can't take my boys to ride bikes or to the playground because it's just too cold. Now we just need a job to open up!
Em, your back! Me too. Had the same feeling in Colorado, although to me the weather would be 22 and it felt about -22...maybe I'm a little out of touch with the cold... sad to say though I've been cold here all day and have been wearing slippers! There must be something wrong with me. :)
This is the one time of year that I wished I were still living in Vegas...although we don't have it too bad here in Western Washington! When we moved to Vegas from Salt Lake City in December it snowed and all of the neighborhood kids got bundled up and built puny snowmen out of the 1 inch that stuck for about an hour...we were all running around in shorts! But a few years later when the same thing happened, we were bundled up building puny snowmen as well. Funny how things change as you acclimate.
Emily, you can't post things like that when I am freezing cold in Spokane! We went to Alabama for Christmas and it was so nice to just be able to play ouside and not be cold at all. I talked to my dad on the phone one day while we were down there and he was telling me how nice it had been in Spokane while we were gone and I asked him the temp, and he said 32. I started laughing because I was in 60 degree weather! Anyway, I'm glad you had a good Christmas, I do believe that Christmases should be white, that is one day I don't mind the freezing snow, but thats about it! :) Come to Spokane soon! :)
