The kids loved the Olympics and wanted to celebrate and have "parties" while we watched it. We used it as an excuse to get Panda Express a couple times (our very favorite). And even ventured out and made chow mein and stir fry and tried these spring rolls. The kids loved it. We got pocky sticks and fortune cookies to top it off.
They like to make up holidays and had a great time on "Chinese Day" where we made Chinese and Olympic Flags.
We made Olympic Rings out of Pull and Peel licorice. I do love these little parties as much as my kids do. I think now that I work some evenings, I appreciate my time at home a lot more and I feel like an evening off is a holiday and we should be having a party! Plus, these guys just eat it up and it makes it so worth it! I love my kids!
