I have the least picky eaters on the face of the earth and I have always known that. We eat a lot of different foods and the kids have always been really good about trying everything and they usually like it. This night it was dove kabobs. Matt and Nate brought home the dove from one of their morning hunting trips and we wrapped it in bacon and cooked it on the BBQ with peppers, onions, and pineapple. The kids loved it. They think it's really cool when they find out what they are eating is deer or elk rather than boring old cow, but they prefer to call all their meat by the animal it really came from (rather than using terms like pork, beef, or venison). And Bailey recently decided she wasn't sure about mashed potatoes because of the texture, so she'll just have an extra helping if quail, elk, or pig :) For any of you who haven't eaten much from the hunt, let me tell you about texture issues...
