Nate's homework assignment last week was to make a leprechaun trap. Matt and Nate stayed up late making this, using wood and a self closing hinge. We also painted some rocks gold for bait. A stick holds the door open and when it's moved, the door slams shut. They drilled holes so that the leprechaun can breathe and made a little rope handle. They had so much fun doing it.

Hi Emily.... cute kids. Mason is way into that trap that Matt and Nate made, he wants me to ask you if Nate caught one of those green guys?
Too cute, yours is very fancy!! Brynna made one with a paper cup tuned upside down with shiny things on top and gum surrounding it to get him stuck on...and then a little stick ramp going up to it! Did you guys catch anything?
Nate you did a great job! We are stil working on Carson's trap. He is using a shoe box, popcicle sticks, a little ladder, silly string and glue. The Leprechaun keeps on messing up all of Easton's Centers at school at night.
